PetMaxxing participates in affiliate advertising programs, runs display advertising, and sells clearly labelled sponsored placements. This page explains each one, because you should be able to tell exactly how a page you are reading is paid for.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. That commission helps fund our editorial work and keeps the site free to read.
We display ads through Google AdSense. Ads are visually distinct from editorial content.
We sell sponsored placements, and every one of them is labelled as sponsored on the page it appears on, with the outbound link marked rel="sponsored". A sponsor pays for the placement and for our time. A sponsor cannot buy a position, a rating, or a recommendation. If you can see it, it is disclosed. If it is not disclosed, nobody paid for it.
Our rankings and recommendations are never influenced by affiliate commission rates or by whether a company has paid us for anything. Products are evaluated on their merits using our published methodology. If a product with a lower commission rate, or no commission at all, is the better product, we say so.
PetMaxxing publishes general, research-backed information about pet health and pet products. It is not veterinary advice and it is not a substitute for examination by a licensed veterinarian who knows your animal. If your pet is unwell, or before you change a medication, diet, or supplement, talk to your vet.
